Remodeling continues at Decorah High School

Remodeling continues at the Decorah High School. The existing dark room and adjacent restroom at the east end of the building are being remodeled into two single stall restrooms.  Also in this section of the building the former Family and Consumer Science classroom is being remodeled into a new business and computer lab with estimated completion in mid March. The new Industrial Technology classroom is also scheduled to be on line by the beginning of the last quarter.

New sprinkler systems have been installed in the Auditorium and Band Room. The Band Room is also scheduled to get new paint, carpeting, vinyl tile and acoustical panels. The new Orchestra Room (former cafeteria) is also scheduled for a mid March completion.  
Work continues in the old serving kitchen that is being converted to a new Life Skills Room with a working kitchen, restroom and separate laundry facility. This is scheduled for a May 1 completion.

Final bids have also been accepted with AAA Budget Environmental for asbestos abatement, mostly in the current chemistry rooms, Art Room, Business Lab, and two special education rooms.
