Fort Atkinson farmer wins Monsanto contest

A Winneshiek County farmer has won $5,000 for the Fort Atkinson Fire Department and the Greater Area Food Pantry at Calmar through a contest sponsored by Monsanto.

Stacy Moellers of Fort Atkinson has been selected as a winner in the Monsanto Fund's "America's Farmers Grow Communities℠" contest.  The Fort Atkinson Fire Department and the Greater Area Food Pantry at Calmar each will receive $2,500 grants through the program.  Moellers and Monsanto officials will make a ceremonial presentation of the checks this Sunday at the Fort Atkinson Fire Department's pancake breakfast.
