Tuesday's snowstorm dumped seven inches of snow on Decorah.

But the snow will begin melting, as the forecast calls for temperatures above freezing from Friday through next Tuesday.

If 2012-2013 in a normal winter--which, of course, isn't always the case, this winter would be close to the average of 86 days between the first snowstorm of the season and the last.

Of course, if 2012-2013 is an unusual winter, it could be like 1973, when 14 inches of snow fell over two days--April 9th and 10th.
