Decorah Police handle two accidents Monday

A traffic accident on Highway 52 at Pole Line Road at 2:30 Monday afternoon caused a total of $10,000 in damages.  80-year-old Patricia Perkins was southbound on Highway 52 and began turning left onto Pole Line Road, striking the passenger side of a vehicle driven by 20-year-old William Ranzenberger of Caledonia.  Neither driver was injured.

Earlier Monday Decorah Police were called to Highway 9 and Short Street around 8:00 a.m.  31-year-old Tyler Harman of Decorah attempted to stop for a red light, but his vehicle began sliding on the road surface and struck a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Tina Jensen of Decorah.  Neither driver was injured or ticketed.  The accident caused $3,000 in damages.
