Decorah Fire Department member to be honored by the American Red Cross

A Decorah man is being honored by the Tr-State Chapter of the American Red Cross.  Steve Vanden Brink will be recognized March 19th in Dubuque as one of the "Everyday Heroes of the Tri-States."

Vanden Brink was nominated in the Fire and Rescue category.  He is a member of the Decorah Fire Department, as well as head of Winneshiek Memdical Center's ambulance department.

Vanden Brink and 15 others from Allamakee, Dubuque, Howard and Winneshiek Counties will be honored at a breakfast at the Best Western Plus in Dubuque.
