The Laura Ingalls Wilder Park & Museum in Burr Oak is seeking donations of used books in good condition for their first Used Book Sale.
The book sale will take place on Saturday, April 6th from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Advent Church in Burr Oak. The museum will be accepting books up until the sale day.
There are several donation locations in the area. Books can be dropped off in Decorah at LetterWerks Sign City, Decorah Newspapers, McCaffrey's Dolce Vita, Wright Way Computers, The Nordic Clipper, Decorah Bank & Trust, Viking State Bank (both locations) and Fidelity Bank. In Waukon, books can be dropped off at The Standard Newspaper, The Inside Story Salon and Spa. Books will also be accepted at Evangeline's/Krazy Kwiltz in Mabel, Big Canoe Lutheran Church in Highlandville, Orleans Lutheran Church in Ridgeway and the Burr Oak Lutheran Church in Burr Oak. If you have a larger donation of books, you can contact contact Stacey Monteith at 563-517-1037 to set up a day and time when a volunteer will pick up the books.
Proceeds from the book sale will go towards the museum's daily operating expenses.
