Skyline Construction wins $10M road contract

Skyline Construction of Decorah has submitted the low bid on a contract for the reconstruction of HIghway 63 in Waterloo.

Five firms submitted bids on the project, with Skyline having the low bid of $9,997,320.  The bid was nearly $1 million lower than the engineering estimate.

The construction project will begin April 1st and will run for two construction seasons.  It will include not only road work, but sewers, water mains, lighting and construction of a recreational trail.
