NICC Wilder Business Center is now open

Groundbreaking last April

The newly remodeled Wilder Business Center is now open on the NICC Calmar campus.  NICC has completed a comprehensive remodeling and repurposing of the Wilder Building, originally built in 1975, so that it now houses the NICC Business and Community Solutions staff, as well as the NICC Foundation, Marketing, Distance Learning, Computer Information Services and Central Printing offices. The new center is aimed at enhancing current business and industry training programs coordinated through NICC, offering new conference meeting and auditorium spaces for the community, videoconferencing capabilities and other amenities.

The remodeling was financed In part by a $1.1 million federal grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration that matches funds from the NICC bond levy approved by voters in the district.
 
A grand opening celebration for the project will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 25th, with a ribbon cutting at 5:15 p.m.
