Here comes winter again!

Decorah could receive as much as seven inches of snow by Friday night as a major winter storm marches through the area.

The National Weather Service Office in La Crosse has issued a Winter Storm Warning from 6:00 p.m. Thursday through 6:00 p.m. Friday.

Snow will spread across Northeast Iowa Thursday night continuing through Friday.  The heaviest snow will fall Thursday night.  Accumulations of up to seven inches are expected.

Travel will be hazardous on Friday morning, with six inches of new snow on the ground by the time people are driving to work.
