A Decorah woman was sentenced to ten years in prison on Tuesday in connection with a meth lab that was set up in her hotel room.

24-year-old Maegan Bakken of Decorah entered guilty pleas to four criminal charges: Manufacture of Methamphetamine (a class C felony); and three charges of Possession of Drug Precursors (Lithium, Ephedrine and Anhydrous Amonia).

Judge John Bauercamper sentenced Bakken to ten years in prison on the manufacturing of meth charge and five years in prison on each of the other three charges.  However, the prison terms will be served currently, meaning Bakken faces a maximum ten years in prison.

Bakken has the right to file an appeal, if desired.  Judge Bauercamper set bond at $25,000 in case of an appeal and ordered Bakken transported to Oakdale in the meantime.

Meanwhile, the other person facing charges in the case--49-year-old Jon Olson of Decorah--had his trial delayed until May 1st on Tuesday.  Olson faces identical charges to those filed against Bakken.
