The South Winneshiek Lego League team is asking for the public's help in giving the team a shot at going to this summer's national awards ceremony.
The team, "Lego Warriors," is made up of five boys and five girls, is coached by South Winn ELP teacher Kristin Kriener and mentored by Andrew Dibble and Steve Carnesi from Rockwell Collins.
The team's invention was inspired by the grandparents of one of the teammates. Her grandma struggled daily with getting her husband out of his recliner, so the team made the "Up 'N Higher," an affordable, helpful, solution to getting someone out of a chair.
The South Winn team is asking the public to visit http://fllinnovation.firstlegoleague.org/n-higher to vote for the "Up 'N Higher" invention by noon on Friday, March 1st. You can vote as many times as you want.
