Winneshiek Medical Center has presented awards to four individuals.

The "Leadership Award" has been presented to both Dr. Kevin Locke and Dr. Kristy Schilling.  Locke was recognized for his work on a project to decrease the time patients spend in the clinic's waiting room, while increasing the amount of time providers spend face-to-face with each patient during the appointment.  Schilling was recognized for her work as the hospital's medical staff president since 2010, including updating Medical Staff bylaws, credentialing, and policy creation, revision and approval.  
 
The "Star of the Year Award" has been presented to WMC materials management assistant Kristie Rustad for the high standards she holds for her work.  For instance, she  sacrificed time on her day off to drive to West Union to pick up critical surgical supplies and bring them back to WMC.

The "Provider of the Year Award" has been presented to Dr. Thomas Marquardt for leading efforts to successfully recruit two general surgeons, one gynecologic surgeon, one internist, one family medicine physician who provides OB services and five associate providers.
