The Winneshiek County Chapter of the American Cancer Society has begun taking orders for daffodils.
Daffodil Days is one of the American Cancer Society's oldest and most beloved fundraising programs. As the first flower of spring, the daffodil represents hope and renewal. By sending bunches of daffodils to friends, family members, and people touched by cancer, people can both share a message of hope and help raise funds to help defeat cancer.
In Winneshiek County, daffodil orders are being taken through February 19th. The flowers will be delivered on Tuesday, March 12th.
Order blanks are available at Viking State Bank, or you can order daffodils by calling Janice Meyer at (563) 532-9460 or Jan Exey at (563) 382-3527. .
