Winneshiek Medical Center shows positive financial numbers for December

Winneshiek Medical Center Chief Financial Officer reported positive December figures, with a total operating gain of $107,356 for the month; and a year to date gain of $575,224 over total operating expenses. She added that some of the positive figures were due to "contractual" adjustments but that the picture was still very strong. She also added that preliminary January figures are very positive.

Hospital officials attribute much of the gains to a recently initiated program referred to as MPAC, or the Mayo Post Acute Care program.
