Alleged drive-by shooter Daniel Wildman's defense: "Intoxication by drugs"

23-year-old Daniel Wildman of Cresco, who faces three counts of attempted murder and tw other criminal charges, appeared by Circuit Court Judge John Bauercamper on Tuesday.

The judge set next Tuesday, February 12th, as the date to hear "all pending motions" in the case.  Judge Bauercamper did grant one motion--allowing the defense to hire Wayne Hill, Senior as a firearms and crime scene expert witness, with the state paying the cost, not to exceed $5,000.

Wildman also filed a motion stating that his plea of innocent would be based on a defense of "Intoxication by drugs."

Wildman's trial is still scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27th.
