City of Decorah is proceeding cautiously on renovations to City Hall

The City of Decorah will be removing the fountain from in front of City Hall later this year.  The fountain has begun to settle noticeably to the north/northwest.

But more elaborate repairs to City Hall--including work on the foundation near the fire station, installation of electronic signage, benches, replacing the steps to the fire house and road and parking changes, will have to wait until after July 1st, when the city enters a new fiscal year and funds might become available.

City officials will soon return to the Decorah city council with a formal plan for the improvements.
