City of Decorah officials say they've gotten a lot done in the last few years

Decorah city officials will wrap up a long-range planning process with another meeting on February 11th.

As part of the goal setting process, city council members, city department heads and other city officials were asked to write down a list of the accomplishments they think the city has had a hand in during the last couple of years.  The list surprised even a few city officials.

35 items were listed, including the completion of the Trout Run Trail and bridge; the completion of the Short Street Project and the implementation of the MetroNet.

Oh, yes--President Obama's visit to Decorah was a success, the local effort for the U.S. Census went well and Decorah was designated a "Blue Zone."
