Gary Rustad honored as Decorah Chamber volunteer of the year

Decorah resident Gary Rustad spent 20 years organizing parades, including the Holiday Parade and the Nordic Fest Parade.

The Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce on Monday recognized Rustad for the hours of service he has spent over the years.

Also honored was Mc Caffrey's co-owner Jim Mc Caffrey, whose work in cooking community meals won him recognition for the Outstanding Community Service Award.

The Chamber of Commerce also recognized outgoing Chamber board members Jayme Folkedahl and Joe Grimstad, both of whom had spent time previously as Chamber Board President.
