The United Way of Winneshiek County is recognizing two important contributors to its organization.
Kathy Barloon of Decorah, who head the United Way campaign for individual donors, on Monday was presented the Loretta Ian Award, given to a top individual volunteer.
The Decorah office of United Parcel Service received the Doyle & Margery Gordon Award, which is presented to a business or organization for its contributions to the United Way.
United Way board president Toni Smith says the 2012 campaign was "record setting," with numerous businesses contributing $5,000 or more. A final fundraising total will be released soon.
