Appliance and electronics recycling event was a success

Even though Sunday's scheduled electronics and appliance recycling event in Decorah got postponed because of icy weather, the Saturday session was so successful that City of Decorah officials are promising similar events in the future.

City Administrator Chad Bird says the event on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until noon was a huge success with over 350 stickers sold.  While no new date has been picked to reschedule Sunday's pickup, Bird says the response to Saturday's event was so good the city will want to set another date.
