At Luther College, walking a labyrinth is spiritual experience.

The college has purchased a canvas labyrinth from Lutheran Campus Ministry at the University of Northern Iowa and sets up the labyrinth on designated days in the Center for Faith and Life Main Hall.  The most recent labyrinth session was on Friday.

Campus Minister Rev. Mike Blair says around 20 to 30 people have been using the labyrinth each time it is set up. Blair says the labyrinth is used as a form of personal meditation.  The labyrinth is intended as a spiritual practice, since it requires attention.

Plans call for the labyrinth to be set up again on several different days during the spring semester.  Rev. Blair says the college has even discussed the possibility of creating a permanent labyrinth some place on campus.
