The Board of Directors of Aase Haugen Homes is asking the public to be patient as changes at the nursing home take effect.
There are 21 members of the nursing home's board of directors, with 17 area churches each having a representative on the board. There is also a resident advocate committee and an auxiliary board.
On Friday afternoon two of the members of the board of directors of the home will meet with residents of Vennehjem to answer questions about the changes. Board members are also scheduling future strategic planning sessions and are promising another statement about their vision for the future of Aase Haugen Senior Services.
In November the nursing home's office manager was dismissed in connection with an investigation into the theft of money at the nursing home. This week the Aase Haugen board dismissed the nursing home's Executive Director and eliminated the Director of Development position.
