Decorah water and sewer rate increase likely

It's not official yet, but it seems an increase in water and sewer fees for City of Decorah residents will happen some time in 2013.

City council members on Tuesday reviewed a proposal for a 1.5 percent rate increase.  The increase would raise an additional $11,000 in revenue for the city.  City Administrator Chad Bird says the increase is needed because the water and sewer systems have "considerable upgrades that need to be done."
