Winneshiek County veterans are heading to the State Capitol Wednesday

Area veterans will be taking a bus trip to Des Moines on Wednesday to visit the State Capitol for the annual Veterans Day on the Hill.

The bus will stop in Lansing and Waukon before leaving from the VFW Post in Decorah at 6:15 a.m.  It will also stop in Calmar, West Union, Oelwein and Independence on its way to Des Moines.

There is no charge for any veteran or his or her spouse who chooses to make the trip.
