A fourth candidate for the job of head football coach at Luther College visited the campus Thursday.

Jay Davis is the defensive coordinator at Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa.  Cornell has had five all-conference defensive players in the past three years, with linebacker Tyler Bailey named an All-American in 2011.

Davis played at Mount Senario College in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, and then coached at Mount Senario, the University of Dubuque and Morrisville State (N.Y.) College before joining Cornell's football staff.

Davis earned bachelor's degrees in 1995 from Mount Senario in history and business administration. He picked up his master's in business administration from Dubuque in 2005.
