Decorah HS student wins $1,500 scholarship

Decorah High School senior Dustin Smith has earned a $1,500 college scholarship from the Iowa Cattlemen's Foundation.

Smith was part of the winning team at the "Beef Scholarship Extravaganza" at Iowa State University in Ames.  Smith and his teammate, Natalie Hanson of La Porte City, were the top team among 24 teams at the competition.  They had the top team scores in seven out of ten skill competitions.
