Crash on Ice Cave Road causes fire

A traffic accident on Ice Cave Road Monday night set the car on fire.

Decorah Police say 33-year-old Angel Barrientos of Decorah lost control of his car while driving on the road.  His car skidded off the road and hit a tree and then caught on fire as Barrientos was escaping from the car.

Both Decorah Police and the Decorah Fire Department were called to the scene.  The fire was extinguished, but the vehicle was a total loss.
