Decorah School Board approves 2011-12 audit

After a detailed report by Joe Bouska of Hacker and Nelson, the Decorah Community School Board approved the 2011-12 audit report. The verbal summary of the report noted the solid, and financially improving position of the school district. The report included statements about the district being in compliance with a raft of state and federal regulations, and meeting the accepted standards of reporting and accounting without noted problems.

 In light of the recent Aase Haugen situation and other school district problems Bouska agreed to meet later with the School Board to discuss issues of fraud prevention.
