City of Decorah will hold an electronics and appliances recycling day

n an effort to promote consumer appliance and electronics recycling, the City of Decorah will host a weekend recycling event the end of January.

All area residents may purchase a sticker that will enable them to drop off major household electronics and appliances, such as television sets, refrigerators and ovens.  The drop off will be held from 9:00 a.m. until noon Saturday, January 26th, and from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 27th, in the lower Oneota Coop parking lot at the corner of Heivly Street and River Street.  City of Decorah crews will be on hand to assist with unloading.

Stickers will cost $10 for all appliances, TVs and electronics.  Computer CPUs and accessories may be bundled together and recycled as well.
