Winneshiek Medical Center is making "steady or slow progress" towards reaching its financial goals for the 2013 fiscal year.

That's the summary by WMC Chief Financial Officer Lynn Luloff, who presented figures Wednesday showing the hospital had a net gain of $310,908 in November.

Several factors led to the good month, said Luloff.  WMC's Home Health and Hospice program made almost 700 visits.  There were 21 births at the hospital--nearly double last November's figure.  Decorah Clinic revenues were up 5 percent and outpatient physical therapy visit were up sharply.

For the year to date the hospital is now showing an operating gain of $467,868 and a net gain (adding non operating revenues) of $777,191.
