Decorah Police are warning the public about a telephone scam

Decorah Police are reporting a telephone scam that has been targeting local residents.

Police say the phone callers are contacting Decorah residents, saying they are members of the VFW.  They then ask for donations.

Police say the VFW is not conducting a fund drive and the phone calls are a scam.
