KVIK raises over $7,000 for NEICAC food pantry

The food pantry at Northeast Iowa Community Action Corporation has gotten some big help from KVIK Radio.  A food drive conducted last week by KVIK and Decorah Chevrolet Cadillac raised $7,147 for the food pantry.

The fundraiser by the radio station stressed cash donations because NEICAC can use the money to get $11.86 worth of food from the NE Iowa Food Bank in Waterloo for every $1.00 it spends.

Listeners also donated non-perishable food items and Lynch BBQ donated meat to the food pantry because of the KVIK fundraiser.
