Several trails scheduled for Wednesday were postponed--making for what might be a busy month of January in the local court system.
24-year-old Maegan Bakken of Decorah faces four criminal charges relating to a meth lab discovered in September at a Decorah motel. She had a Wednesday court appearance postponed until January 8th.
Bakken's alleged partner in the meth lab, 48-year-old Jon Olson of Decorah, had his court appearance postponed from Wednesday to February 5th at 10:00 a.m. Bakken also faces four criminal charges.
A Decorah man, James Bachmurski, has now had his trial moved to January 9th at 9:00 a.m. Bachmurski faces several criminal charges for allegedly kicking one of his sons.
Also scheduled to appear in court on January 9th is Daniel Wildman of Cresco, who faces three counts of attempted murder in connection with a shooting in October in Calmar.
Scheduled to appear in court on January 4th in Winneshiek County is 29-year-old Raymond Delagarza, who faces one count of attempted murder, as well as other charges, in connection with an incident last July.
Meanwhile, 45-year-old Jay Jermier of Decorah, who faces one count of vehicular homicide--a Class B felony--for an accident that killed a Calmar woman, has had his scheduled January 9th trial postponed until May 22nd..
