Results of FSA County Committee election announced

Margaret Elsbernd has been re-elected to a second three year term on the Winneshiek County Farm Service Agency County Committee.

Vote totals were announced Monday afternoon.  Dennis Blumhagen and Mark Steffens were also candidates for the position, which represents farmers in Decorah, Glenwood, Springfield, Frankville, Military and Bloomfield townships. 

The FSA farmer elected committee system has been a key factor in the administration of farm programs.  Committee members assist in carrying out programs assigned to the FSA committees.  Regular County Committee meetings are held the second Monday of the month.
