Roger Thomas receives his legislative committee assignments

State Representative Roger Thomas of Elkader has been named the ranking Democrat on the House Economic Growth Committee.  The House Economic Growth committee covers all issues related to the state's economic development, including business financial and technical assistance programs, job training programs, and tax credits specific to business and housing programs.

Thomas has also been appointed to the Veterans Affairs, Ways and Means and Natural Resources Committees.

In November, Thomas was elected to his 8th term in House District 55 which covers Winneshiek, Fayette and Clayton counties.
