South Winneshiek High School students have gotten a chance to learn new skills through interactive workshops taught by State FFA President Steven Brockshus.

Brochus spent a day visiting the Calmar students at their agriculture education classes. Topics included the FFA brand, opportunities, leadership and decision-making. He also met with the school administration to stress the importance and value of agricultural education and CTE programs. The South Winneshiek students wrapped up the day by doing teamwork activities with the students at Turkey Valley HS in Jackson Junction.

Brochus' visit was part of a regular program by Iowa FFA officers to travel to FFA chapters throughout the state to connect with members and talk about the many opportunities available to students enrolled in agricultural education.
