A search committee at Luther College has narrowed the field of candidates for the college's presidency to 10.
The search committee is now checking references on those ten candidates. It will meet again in December to narrow the list of candidates further.
The semifinalists will be invited to confidential preliminary interviews. After those interview are completed, the committee will hold more extensive interviews during the first two weeks in February--interviews that will include representatives from several college constituencies.
The search committee says it is still on track to complete the process in February and to forward the names of prospective new presidents to the Luther Board of Regents.
