A Decorah man has been arrested following a high-speed chase with Winneshiek and Allamakee County sheriff's deputies late Saturday night.

23-year-old Joshua Anderson faces charges of Assault on a Peace Officer, Criminal Mischief, drunk driving third offense, Carrying Weapons and having no insurance.

Police say Anderson was driving in Waukon when Waukon Police attempted to make a traffic stop.  Instead, Anderson allegedly fled from Waukon Police and Allamakee County deputies, fleeing to Winneshiek County where he allegedly struck a Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department patrol car with his vehicle before losing control of the vehicle on Highlandville Road.

No one was injured during the pursuit.  Anderson was taken to the Winneshiek County Jail.  Waukon Police and the Allamakee County Sheriff's Department both say they plan to file additional charges against Anderson.
