Spending for county board races was fairly modest

Brians asks, "is there a website that lists what/where each of the local candidates spent to run their campaign?"

There is--it's http://www.iowa.gov/ethics/  And reports posted on that website show that candidates for Winneshiek County Board ran fairly inexpensive campaigns this year.

Six of the 12 county board candidates filed reports through October 15th.  That doesn't mean the other six missed a deadline, however--all candidates have until January 19th to file final reports.

Of the six county board candidates who filed reports, Rachel Vagts reported spending the most money--just over $3,000 through October 15th.  Dennis Karlsbroten reported spending $1,608 through October 15th, Bill Ibanez spent $1,534 and Bob Watson spent $1,036.  Dean Thompson and Floyd Ashbacher spent under $1,000.

decorahnews.com will post final figures after the January 19th filing deadline.
