Word on Short Street: "Hopefully, we're getting close"

Erdman Engineering president Lindsay Erdman says the Short Street construction project is close to winding down for the year.

Erdman told the Decorah City Council on Monday night that striping of lanes on the new road should be done this week.  He also said the asphalt plant has been shut down for the season, so no more paving will be done.

Although work will remain to be done next spring, especially of the Highway 9/Short Street intersection, Erdman says, "Hopefully we're getting close."
