Charges filed in early morning fight outside the Corner Bar

34-year-old Timothy Moses of Des Moines has been arrested on charged of assault causing serious injury.

Decorah Police were called to the Corner Bar at just before 1:00 a.m. Saturday to investigate a report of a fight.  It was determined that Moses had assaulted Ryan Piper by hitting him in the mouth with his fist.  Piper was taken to Winneshiek Medical Center for treatment of a broken jaw.  He was later transported to Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse.

Moses was located a short time later and was taken into custody.
