Clayton County election officials met Thursday afternoon to review absentee ballots, disputed ballots and provisional ballots--and the results have changed the vote totals for several legislative races.
Democrat John Beard picked up a net gain of five votes in his race against Republican Mike Breitbach in State Senate District 26. Democrat Roger Thomas picked up a net gain of seven votes in his State Assembly District 55 race against Republican Michael Klimesh.
Thursday's audit must still be approved by the Clayton County Board when it meets at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday to officially canvas the election results.
