County board is losing 34 years of experience

The Winneshiek County Board will look very different in January.

Four of the current five supervisors will not be returning to the board in 2013.  The list is headed by County Board Chairman Les Askelson, who has served on the county board since 1993.  Supervisor Steve Bouska has been on the board since 2005, supervisor Bill Ibanez has served since 2009 and supervisor Lonnie Pierce has been on the board since 2011.

All told, that means four supervisors with a total of 34 years on the county board will not return to the board in January.

County board newcomers will be Dennis Karlsbroten, Floyd Ashbacher, Dean Thompson and Mark Kuhn.  Only incumbent John Logsdon will return in January.
