Fiber optic cable arriving for Metronet installation

The citywide fiber optic cable network stringing together City Hall, the Courthouse, Luther College, Winneshiek Medical Center, Decorah Schools and Upper Explorerland Regional Planning is one step closer to a reality.

144-strand fiber optic cable for the network has begun arriving in Decorah.  The remaining fiber cable is expected to arrive later this week.  Installation preparations have begun for eventual fiber pulling and installation over the course of the next one to two months.
