Pedestrian hit by car on College Drive at Fifth Avenue

Decorah Police have released details of a car/pedestrian accident on College Drive around 6:45 last Thursday night.

Police say 67-year-old Ann Naslund of Decorah turned left onto Fifth Avenue from College Drive and struck 41-year-old Janenn Christy of Decorah, who was jogging north, crossing 5th Avenue.

Christy suffered a small scrape from the collision and went to the hospital to make sure she was unharmed. 

Naslund said she did not see Christy, causing her to strike Christy.  The weather conditions of dark and rainy contributed to the situation.  Naslund was not ticketed.
