While the election involving Iowa State Supreme Court justices has gotten some attention, the vote on whether to renew the terms of District Court judges has gotten little attention.

However, the Iowa Bar Association polls lawyers in Iowa before every election to ask if they feel judge should be reelected.

Winneshiek County voters will be asked whether to re-elect three Court of Appeals judges, four District judges and two District Associate Judges.

Survey results are available at http://www.iowabar.org/displaycommon.cfm?an=1&subarticlenbr=752 but here are the overall scores from the lawyer survey:

Court of Appeals: 95.7 percent recommend re-election of Michael Mullins; 92.3 percent recommend re-election of Anuradha Vaitheswaran; 91.9 percent recommend reelection of Mary Tabor.

District Court 1A: 71.8 percent recommended re-election of Monica Ackley; 86.2 percent recommended re-election of John Bauercamp; 98.5 percent recommended re-election of Thomas Bitter; 95.6 percent recommended re-election of Margaret Lingreen.

District 1A Associate Judge: 93.2 percent recommended re-election of Randal Nigg; 83.3 percent recommended re-election of Robert Richter.
