Friday is deadline for applying for free mammogram screenings

Winneshiek County Celebration of Life in cooperation with Winneshiek Medical Center and Gundersen Clinic Decorah are offering free mammogram screenings to underinsured or uninsured women.

The next free mammogram screenings will be done on Thursday, November 8th.  The deadline to apply for such a mammogram is this Friday, October 19th.

All free screenings are awarded based on financial need.  Applications are available at www.winneshiekcol.com and at Margaret's Clothing, Winneshiek Medical Center and Gundersen Clinic Decorah.

Funding for the free mammogram screenings comes from Winneshiek County Celebration of Life, a community effort to raise money for breast cancer awareness and prevention.
