The Northeast Iowa Drug Task Force with assistance from the Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department on Sunday evening eradicated a field of marijuana plants in a wooded area south of Decorah.
Police say the marijuana appeared to have been cultivated for drug use. In addition to eradicating the marijuana field, police seized 146 marijuana plants and one methamphetamine lab.
The Northeast Iowa Drug Task Force says fall is the primary harvest time for marijuana plants. They are asking the public to report any suspected marijuana growing activity.
