Winneshiek Medical Center is reporting a net gain of $419,180 for the month of August.
Total patient service revenues were lower than expected due to lower inpatient revenues. But total operating expenses were seven percent lower than budgeted and the hospital received $145,600 in stimulus money forthe switchover to electronic medical records.
The result was an operating gain of $371,292. When another $47,888 in non-operating revenues was added, the net gain was $419,180.
