The Winneshiek County 4-H Citizenship Group will be selling flower cards as a fundraiser for their upcoming Washington D.C. Trip. Cards will be available for purchase beginning Monday, October 1st and running through Friday, November 30th. The flower cards sell for $20.
Each month, January 2013 – December 2013, you may redeem your flower card for a florist choice arrangement from The Country Garden in Decorah. The flowers will not come with a vase; however, you may purchase one at pick-up.
Members will be selling these flower cards along with additional bake items, crafts, and a silent auction basket at the 4-H Spaghetti Supper and Silent Auction on Sunday, October 7th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Decorah Lutheran Church. Cards will also be available to purchase from 4-H Citizenship Group Members and the Winneshiek County Extension Office starting Monday. Group members include Logan Brincks, Lucas Brincks, Justin Bullerman, Jonathan Drow, Marissa Foels, Trygve Lien, Kolin Schnuelle, Ashley Schwartzhoff, Shane Sexton, Daiton Tietz & Everett Wegge.
The Winneshiek County 4-H Citizenship Group was formed in August of 2011. Last year the group explored our local and state governments and toured both Decorah City Hall and the State Capitol. This year members will learn about the federal government and travel to Washington D.C. in April. "
